Welcome to Al-Bayan Islamic Institute's website. Here you will find information on who we are, what we do and how we can help you and your family achieve great things Insha' Allah (God willing).

Al-Bayan has been in operation since 2003. Coming from humble beginnings operating out of Granville Musallah, teaching children the correct way to read Arabic and the Holy Quran. Over the years we have grown into a four night a week Arabic/Quran school for children aged between 7 and 16 catering for both boys and girls. We are proud to say that our Quran memorisation classes are continuing to grow with a few young boys now well into their fifth Juz' of Quran.

We also cater for our older brothers and sisters with our adult program. This has been succesfully running for over a year now. Subjects that have been taught and are currently being taught include: Islamic Adab (Manners), Fiqh (Islamic Law), Hadeeth, Aqeedah (Islamic Creed/Beleif) and Science of the Quran. Our sisters are able to attend at the same time via live sound and video feed so they do not miss a thing.

Other initiatives Al-Bayan have run include a successful series of fornightly youth talks called 'Youth on the Move', a yearly Quran Competition called 'Sydney's Quran Competition' which has now been a success for 4 years Alhamdulillah (All Praise is for Allah) and of course our yearly Hajj group (pilgramage to Makkah). We are continuing to implement ideas and initiatives to help our brothers and sisters of any age in our community.

Now we all know that anything good must have a driving force behind it. First we praise the Almighty Allah for making this possible. This person who has sacrificed his time and himself is Sheikh Tarek El-Bikai.
